Every now and then, we see new trends popping up in the web design world. Some of them come to be as a result of how clients react to certain innovations. Others come to be from the technological advancement, which is basically unstoppable.
Here are five trends in the web design that you might have actually noticed and experienced already. Many of the below mentioned trends are becoming the next “big thing” in the web design world.
Let’s dive in.
< 1 > Less Pop Ups.

No matter how old you are and how long have you been using Internet, it’s known for a fact that Pop Up windows are annoying.
The Pop Ups are those colorful forms that you see appearing from nowhere while you’re surfing the web. They are known to grab your attention and distract you from focusing on the main content. The content, because of which, you landed on a certain website.
In 2018 Google announced that websites that use Pop Ups heavily could get hurt in terms of SEO, meaning Google won’t trust much such websites anymore.
Again, the main idea of Pop Ups is self-promoting by focusing your browser window solely on the Pop Up box (see the image below).
< 2 > Less animations.

Lately, we discovered that many web designers tend to use a whole bunch of animations. Animations are basically everywhere. The main reason for that is that web designers would like to experiment with them and apply all new stuff that they could get their hands on but often by doing so they tend to over-salt the soup, web design wise.
Many users admit that animations are more of a distraction than a good thing, especially if they’ve come to your website to get something done (depends on what’s your site about, of course).
In this year, we’re going to be seeing more and more refined animations that are supposed to better the user experience, instead of distracting.
< 3 > Chatbots.

Chat bots are one of our favourites trends that are about to explode this year.
A lot of web designers and programmers started realizing the benefits of using AI It could take care of your Customers by offering them suggestions, personalized ads and videos on auto pilot and that’s all focused towards boosting your sales, which is vital for your business (as you might have noticed already).
Imagine a website/system that constantly learns new things about your Customers and analyses them. Customer experience is inevitably about to get better, hence Customers would be thrilled about you and your brand.
Gartner’s recent research implies that nearly all e-commerce businesses would go for chatbots this year.
< 4 > One-pagers.

Minimalism and one-pagers. “Less is more” is going to be the next trend.
One-pagers are those websites that consist of just one page and multiple sections. In most cases, anchors are used for navigation between the pages.
One-pagers usually rank good on Google because they have a good amount of text. They are easy to maintain and when optimized for mobile – they make the perfect choice for a portfolio.
Users like one-pagers too because all the content is in front of their eyes and they could easily navigate through it, without having to send a new request each time they’d like to see something new (example: check your contacts page).
One-pagers, also, work wonders when it comes to conversions, so keep that in mind too.
< 5 > Video Background.

There’s that video background trend going on lately. We think that this is also going to explode really soon.
The idea here is to have a single section/page and have it display a video background, plus, some text and a button on top.
Videos are well-established way for communicating these days and you could put your message across in a lot more engaging way, especially when compared to an image.
The more time people spend on your website, the higher your conversion rate. And videos are known to keep the attention for longer periods of time. Your Bounce rate decreases too, which is good.
After all, we’ve said so far, we could conclude that in this year we are going to be witnessing a good portion of colors, forms, videos
Keeping up with the trends, plus, breaking the rules a bit puts you in a position of domination in the web design world.
